From the President
Well, the season is up and running. We thought two months ago we were going to be a lot less social than we are, although it will be a season like no other. Social distancing will continue to be top of mind, and the Covid Safe Nippers will have reduced numbers although it looks like no existing members will miss out thanks to the hard work of Chris, Lucy and Teagan. Please respect the Covid instructions when attending Nippers – stay within the indicated areas, please refrain from gathering after each session and remember only one parent per Nipper etc. We will continue to monitor the situation but at present we are in a “Covid normal” period.
Just a few things to remember;
- The club is still in lock down, which means no access is allowed for members unless to attend official club events or the bar during opening hours.
- No general loaning of boards throughout the season.
- All gear used for Patrol and other events such as Nippers must be washed down and sanitised according to the guidelines.
- SRCs can now return to Patrols.
Like I said “a season like no other”. Have a great summer, it’s going to busy on the beach, we have to stay nimble in our actions but that’s what makes Inverloch Surf Life Saving such a great club. I look forward to seeing you during the season.
